Pheww, that was a pretty crazy Thanksgiving weekend! Have we all fully recovered?


With the holidays upon us, Joan Threat says its A-OK to blare the Christmas Music 24/7. "One of my fave xmas albums of all time is "Kenny and Dolly: Once Upon a Christmas"This album has been in my holiday rotation since a week before Thanksgiving, and you better believe its going to be on steady rotation thru the month of December! Best song on the album: "Hard Candy Christmas"...Luv that Dolly Parton!"



Stevie Kick's current obsession is Donald Glover. "I'm not obsessed with him the conventional, he's so hot sense - i'm more just interested in everything he's doing right now. He's hilarious on Community, just put his first lp called "Camp" and his recent stand-up special on Comedy Central had me laughing so hard I was crying.I really just want to be his friend. He does look pretty cute in those glasses though!"




Messdemeanor has decided to fully embrace 90's nostalgia. "I'm catching up on some pop culture I didn't appreciate as much the first time around.  I didn't watch the X Files regularly back then but now that it's streaming online I'll be falling asleep to it every night.  I just started last night and already had crazy dreams!"



This week Kill E. Kaposki is obsessed with the song "Nicest Thing" by Kate Nash. "I can't stop listening to it--I actually played it on repeat for an entire afternoon (at least 4 hours straight). It's a very tender and moving song, just listen and you'll understand."


Snowflake is currently obsessed with juicing. "I never knew how easy it was to get fresh juice! When i think of all the veggies I get in one glass, i can't help but have a little extra spring in my step! My usual combo: kale, cucumber, beets, apple."

A quick obsessions post before we get into the Thanksgiving festivities!

Snowflake is obsessed with these cute but tough rainboots from the Rachel Antonoff for Bass collaboration. Nothing beats a new pair of rainboots to keep you dry in all this rain! The cute heart shaped buckle is just icing on the cake.


MessDemeanor is currently totally obsessed with the iPhone 4GS voice recognition program Siri.  She allows me to text friends and set reminders hands free, which is basically an essential in the winter when wearing gloves.  Plus she apologizes when she can't meet my every need - something more people should do!



Scarlet Fever is absolutely obsessed with her Frye Veronica Stonewash boots, but pure torture till they are broken in.  My heels are covered in Band-aids.
This week Kill E. Kaposki is currently obsessed with Shel Silverstein poetry. The children's books are filled with short and simple poems, bursting with creativity. "Listen to the Mustn'ts" provides so much inspiration--I can't read it without getting chills.


Stevie Kick's current obsession is apple spice/ apple cinnamon candles. Perfect for making an apartment with no oven smelled like freshly baked pie.

So many things that we are obsessing over!



This week Kill E. Kapowski is currently obsessed with My Grandma's of New England coffee cake. We were gifted these at my work and it is seriously the most delicious treat. Ask Stevie Kicks how obsessed I am with this cake and she'll tell you how I almost started crying tears of joy when it was delivered to my desk.

Scarlet Fever is obsessed with her new boucle textured jacket from Free People. Word on the street is it's on sale at the union st. location...bastards.



Stevie Kicks' current obsession is the New Girl on Fox with Zooey Deschanel.
It was slow going but now I laugh, hard, every time I watch. So cute! Plus, I like to walk around singing her theme song. "Who's that girl? It's Jess!"


Snowflake can't get enough of this Hipster Girl Dress-up. It's basically paper dolls for 2011. I especially love the fact that they let us chose between 3 different colors of denim vests! It's seriously addicting.


MessDemeanor obsession is New York City.  I've had a houseguest for a week, which is entirely too long to host someone.  But the one benefit of dragging someone all around town is falling in love with it all over again. 

Another round of obsessions this week!



Resident vintage connoisseur, Messdemeanor can't get enough of Estate Sales. Being a wholesale vintage seller and needing things in bulk she usually doesn't partake in these types of sales but she's already been to two in the last 10 days and is hooked! They're like personalized time capsules where you get to piece together the lives of the people that lived in the house decades ago.


Snowflake, always on the hunt for vegan recipes can't help but return to the ol' standby, Veganomicon. This book has everything you need to know on cooking plus comes up with great full menu ideas. Her personal favorite: Chickpea cutlets.




Never thought that Joan Threat would be looking for practical footwear but she's currently obsessed with these Hunter Lapin rain boots. Sturdy and fashionable, she won't have to forgo her notions of being over 5'4" while still braving the elements of mother nature.



Stevie Kicks is still thinking about The Other Side Cafe in Boston. Having recently made a trip out there, her and Kill E. enjoyed the food, the great atmosphere, and the Hall & Oates playing throughout the restaurant.


Scarlet Fever is obsessed with Aveda Control Force. Great for an all day hold and humidity defense!



Kill E. Kapowski is patiently waiting for this pretty horse print dress to arrive from Asos. The black collar and sleeve detail accents the horse print just perfectly. I'll just add that long sleeves is definitely a plus for Fall!

Wow, can't believe I almost forgot to post this week's obsessions! And they're great ones too!





Joan Threat is currently obsessed with this Hunter umbrella benefitting Wateraid, an international group providing safe and clean domestic water supplies & education to the world's poorest communities. This clear bubble umbrella would've come in handy this weekend when NYC got hit with rain and snow galore!

Messdemeanor is getting caught up with the Six Feet Under series. Although not new since she didn't have cable back when it was on, she is enjoying the reminder that life is nuts & everything ends- things we all try to ignore sometimes.




Snowflake is still on the hunt for the perfect rain boot. She's smitten with these from the Rachel Antonoff for Bass collaboration. How cute is that heart buckle?

Mama in the group, Scarlet Fever is having fun buying some cute boys clothes for lil dude Sebastien. Especially these cool threads with deals from All Saints.




Kill E. Kapowski is repping the collegiate look with this beautiful Patricia Nash Trento Satchel. Beautifully structured and its golden brown color make it something that's she'd gladly swing over her shoulder for an everyday look.



Trying to fill up her kitchen with tools, Stevie Kicks is currently obsessed with these nesting owls measuring cups from Urban Outfitters.They could brighten up any kitchen.

And we're back with another week of current obsessions. The Dolls are now in full Fall mode and that means Halloween is just around the corner! I guess it's one of our main obsessions...



Joan Threat starts us off with ALL THINGS SPOOKY and HALLOWEEN-y as her obsession.  This is the last week to get uber festive for one of her fave holidays EVER!



Mess Demeanor's current obsession is the Bust DIY Guide to life.  Not only is it full of useful tips for how to live a more creative and independent life, but yours truly is featured on page 136!!  Check it.



Perfect just in time for Halloween, Damned by Chuck Palahniuk is Scarlet Fever's obsession .  If you get it soon enough you'll be able to finish it on Monday.



Fittingly, Kill E. Kapowski's new obsession is baking. Finding out that some of her fave baked goods were so bad for you while sifting through mounds of butter, sugar and cinnamon all in the name of making some delicious cinnamon rolls from scratch.



Stevie Kicks' current obsession is the dolls! After a tough week of boy drama, it's always good to have rad gals around for a friend, a shot, a hug, a punch, a joke, a piece of candy (thanks JT). You girls are the best.




Last but not least, Snowflake can't get enough of Mindy Kaling's blog: The Concerns of Mindy Kaling. Filled with stories of her childhood, showcasing things she's bought and any other tidbits this witty writer has to offer is always a fun read. Can't wait for her book to come out as well!

Our doll Kill E. Kapowski is currently obsessed with this Nixon Shutter SS watch. A great balance of masculine and feminine, with jus the right touch of vintage.



Scarlet Fever's new daily ritual is stopping by Spices and Tease for a large tea on the go. Not only is she saving half of what she spends at Starbucks, but they have an amazing Gingerbread black tea!



Jewelry lover, Stevie Kicks is obsessed with Catbird. Stocked full of vintage looking pieces with affordable prices!



Snowflake has always been obsessed with Lush's Big shampoo. The sea salt, lime juice and seaweed infusion will turn any limp locks into mermaid like hair.



Mess Demeanor can't help but bring the geek girl out with these glasses from Bonlook. At $99 for a complete pair of prescription glasses plus they donate 1% of all sales to the Hellen Keller International Organization.



Joan Threat is obsessed with all things PUMPKIN! Picking, carving, eating. She's especially excited to try this pumpkin seed roasting recipe!

With Halloween fast approaching, Joan Threat is getting obsessed with her costume. She'll be going as none other than Joan Jett, more specifically, from the album cover of I love Rock & Roll. You can guarantee that she'll spend the next few weeks staring at this album in order to achieve at least 98% accuracy.



Kill E. Kapowski is currently obsessed with this Batmosphere mini necklace from Tatty Devine.A nice little Halloween accessory that you could get away with wearing year round.




After a long road trip alone and relying on audio books, Mess Demeanor is currently obsessed with Bossypants by Tina Fey. A touchingly honest look at the actress/writer/comedian's career path that deals with all the obstacles and BS with humor rather than resentment.




Stevie Kick is currently obsessed with this unique tee Dossier did with Rotter and Friends, inspired by a rare interview with rock-persona, Stevie Nicks. Some rock tees may come and go but legends like Stevie last forever.




Resident hairstylist, Scarlet Fever is currently obsessed with her new haircut! Channeling the ever amazing Patti Smith.




Snowflake is currently obsessed with with the first 2 issues of Garmento. A zine she picked up at the NY Art Book Fair, about designers who changed the way we look at fashion. It's making her train commute so much better!

After attending the Aveda Hairshow, Scarlet Fever has become obsessed with her career as a stylist. More importantly, the environmental responsibility Aveda takes in producing all their products. She was especially moved when she stumbled upon this documentary 2012 Time for Change.



Mickie Dagger is obsessed with these easy to apply chalk board decals. She's thinking of adding them to her kitchen in her new apartment over in Philly.



Joan Threat is currently obsessed with the Miss Dior Cherie perfume. It has just the right airy, crisp smell that she's been craving...and of course one of its top notes is none other than Patchouli, her fave.


Kill E. Kapowski is obsessed with the Death Cab for Cutie album, Narrow Stairs. She calls it the perfect soundtrack to walking around New York.



After a night of drinking at her friends house, Stevie Kicks found out about these cool photographs Pencil vs. Camera by Ben Heine. It's a photograph overlaid with witty drawings. Now there's some creative, eye catching art!



This is more than a weekly obsession but Snowflake just can't seem to resist a photobooth opportunity. Here, she's collected quite the gallery of silly pictures and is determined to cover her whole fridge.


Mess Demeanor loves this time of year for all of the squash that are now selling at the Farmer's Markets. Although she likes to experiment with all of them, she always goes back to her faithful Butternut Squash.
